    Warren Village Without Walls Conference

On September 20, Warren Village Without Walls sponsored a working conference on "Creating a Culture of Success in Transitional Housing." Our purpose was to gather leaders from Colorado's nonprofit, government, foundation, media, academic and faith-based communities to explore strategies to make transitional housing more effective as a self-sufficiency strategy, especially for low-income families. The premise of the conference was that transitional housing can foster sustainable personal and economic self-sufficiency when it provides holistic services and creates a sense of community among residents.

Sponsored by Chambers Family Fund, this gathering drew nearly seventy leaders from segments of our community which too often work in isolation from each other: nonprofit housing developers, providers of social services, foundation program officers, elected officials, policy makers, and directors of faith-based organizations.
