Childcare/Early Childhood Education
The Greta Horwitz Learning Center at Warren Village offers childcare and early
childhood education for both resident and neighborhood children. The Learning
Center serves children from six weeks to twelve years of age. Our program
is designed to promote healthy physical growth, social, intellectual and emotional
development, creativity and critical thinking in each child. Quality
Early Childhood Education is the foundation for future learning and preparing
all children for school. Learning activities such as language acquisition and
cognitive sequencing are critically important for children from birth through
school age. These and other developmental skills academically prepare children
for the challenges of elementary school. The Greta Horwitz Learning Center
is committed to quality early childhood education and is participating in Educare
Colorado and in the Colorado Preschool Program. These programs provide feedback,
enrichment and resources so that early childhood education centers can nurture,
prepare and teach our smallest citizens. Classroom activities stress
basic organizational skills such as taking turns and sharing. Children also gain
academic and cognitive skills necessary to succeed in school. Special activities
celebrate our rich diversity of heritage and culture. Field trips, volunteers,
special guests (such as the Colorado Symphony,) and festivities provide an experiential
learning environment for our children. The Learning Center is open Monday
through Friday from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm. Fees are competitive and subsidies and
scholarships are available. Click here to
