You can Help Make Holiday Wishes a Reality for the Children at Warren Village!

For the past 24 years, the Warren Village Holiday Shop has made celebrations a little brighter for hundreds of single parents and their children.

During our Holiday Shop event, December 15, 2012, our resident and alumni parents are able to “shop” for their children by selecting gifts from the generous donations of Warren Village’s supporters.  At the same time, our resident children are “shopping” for gifts for mom or dad.  Each “shopper” – adult or child – is assisted by a volunteer to help in the selection and gift wrapping.

 Here’s how you can help make this year our most successful yet:

Gifts:  We are in need of gifts for children of all ages – from infants to teens – and their parents.  Our Wish List is enclosed and there are gift registries available at Target, Wal-Mart and Bed, Bath & Beyond (both in the stores and online – look up “Warren Village Holiday Shop 2012”).

We also need cash donations and gift cards!

Donors receive an additional bonus this year:  Gifts to the Holiday Shop now qualify for an Enterprise Zone tax credit!  Monetary gifts receive a 25% credit and in-kind gifts qualify for a 12.5% credit.  Please call us for more information.

Volunteer:  If you have any extra time to spare, we are also in need of volunteers to help organize gifts throughout the month of December and at the event on December 15, 2012.

New this year:  Please join us for some holiday cheer.  Drop off gifts, make a donation and enjoy hot cider and cookies during our new Holiday Shop Open Houses*:

Saturday, December 8      8:00 am to 4:00 pm

Monday, December 10     9:00 am to 5:00 pm

Tuesday, December 11     9:00 am to 5:00 pm

*Please call us to arrange other times to drop off donations.
